Wednesday 25 March: Cancellation of events
The New Zealand Defence Force are committed to serving and assisting New Zealand through the rapidly developing situation around COVID-19. We are following Government guidelines and Ministry of Health advice to ensure the safety of our candidates and staff.
This means that there has already been, and will continue to be, an impact on recruitment activities for the foreseeable future. This includes postponing all face-to-face interviews, assessment and induction days and fitness-only sessions. We have also regrettably cancelled all Force Fit sessions and Information evenings until further notice. We are reviewing alternative options for delivering these and will provide an update on this soon.
All current applications will remain active while recruiting activities are disrupted and we will continue to support candidates on their recruiting journey wherever possible. We are also welcoming new applications. You can apply here.
You can find the latest information and updates regarding NZDF recruiting here on our website and on our Defence Careers Facebook page.
Thank you for your understanding and patience, Kia Kaha

Are you still taking overseas applications?
With the current global pandemic and the recommendations by the Ministry Of Health we regrettably advise the applications from foreign military personnel will not be accepted until further notice.
Are you still taking re-enlistment applications?
Ex NZDF personnel wishing to re-enlist will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Those applications currently in progress will continue to be processed in the normal manner, however delays can be expected.
