There are seven tests in the NZDF recruiting test series, but you may have to sit only some of these, depending on your choice of trade and service. If you have sat any of the tests before, tell the recruiter, as you may not have to sit them again.

The sample questions will be similar to those featured in the tests. You should find a quiet place - free from noise or interruption, and work through this handout.

Read all the instructions carefully before you attempt each practice test. Work through each one as quickly and accurately as you can. Try to answer all the questions within the time limit given; this will give you an idea of how well you cope under time pressure.

This practice before the real tests will give you a general idea of the types of questions that will be asked. If you find that you struggle with the questions, you may need to check out other sources such as revision books, teachers, and peers.
