The NZDF is always on the lookout for personnel wanting to re-enlist with us. Providing there are positions at the correct rank and trade this is a fairly quick and straightforward process. The NZDF can always benefit from skills and experience gained either ‘outside’ or in another service. Any additional or ‘top-up’ training that might be needed will be conducted on a case by case basis, and an offer of service will be formulated after this.

Calling all ex-RNZN personnel - a recruiting drive is underway to fill positions within the RNZN with experienced people such as yourselves.
The Navy is developing a new initiative where we will contact ex-RNZN personnel who have departed the Service in the last five years to determine your interest in bringing your skill sets back to the Navy.
This new initiative will be an ongoing process, and follows similar activities conducted in large commercial organisations who maintain contact with their ex-staff on the basis that one day, having gained additional skill sets elsewhere, they may consider returning to the organisation.
Not surprisingly the RNZN sees the benefits of experienced ex-RNZN personnel returning once again to work within a familiar space. This may also be of interest to you?
